The National Institute of Public Health (INSP) informed on Tuesday that, between November 11 and 18, 202 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 were registered, down 28.6% compared to the previous week, told Agerpres.

According to INSP, 45 of the new cases are in reinfected patients, tested positive more than 90 days after the first infection.

Between November 11 and 18, 10 deaths were reported in people with COVID-19, all with underlying conditions.

To date, 69,223 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died in Romania.

In our country, up to now, 3,581,032 cases of infection with SARS-CoV-2 have been registered.

In the last week, 479 RT-PCR tests and 7,981 rapid antigen tests were performed. The positivity rate was 2.4%, down 0.3%.

Up to this date, at the national level, 14,034,318 RT-PCR tests and 15,084,949 rapid antigenic tests have been processed.
